Atlanta Businesswoman Appointed to Fuel Africa’s Agro-Industrial Progress
Atlanta, GA – August 29, 2023 – Africa is on the brink of a groundbreaking agricultural transformation as Atlanta businesswoman, Her Excellency Shanta Lana Hereford takes on the role of Director of Finance and Investment for the Africa Continent-Wide Agro-Industrial Park Development Consortium. With nearly 200,000 hectares of land secured across six African countries, this consortium aims to revolutionize the socioeconomic landscape by bridging the gaps that have kept over 60% of Africans practicing agriculture in poverty.
In her new position, Ms. Hereford will be spearheading and leading the team responsible for forging and maintaining investment relationships and ensuring the necessary resources are available for large-scale development. The consortium brings together reputable organizations, including Africa Agriculture Knowledge Base Ltd. (AAKB), Pan-African International Investment Corporation (PIIC), Jaiz Bank Plc., Kadpoly Consult, and North Central Commodities Association (NOCCAS), to drive this transformative initiative forward.
Through the Africa Continent-Wide Agro-Industrial Park Projects, codenamed AFC-WIDE_AIP PROJECTS, the consortium aims to mobilize and aggregate the best resources to revolutionize farming practices. The project focuses on crop production, livestock, food processing, equipment leasing, food storage, consultancy services, and international/local marketplace activities. With export licenses secured and liaison offices established in strategic locations, including the US, Zambia, Ethiopia, South Africa, DRC, Nigeria, and The Gambia, the consortium is poised to make a significant impact.

Zonal centers have been established to ensure efficient oversight and monitoring of operations in each Agro-Industrial Park (AIP) location.
To kickstart the projects, the consortium is seeking immediate investment partners. With a decentralized and self-rejuvenating approach, each AIP location becomes self-supporting and enables local communities to take ownership and monitor farms communally, guaranteeing efficiency and intervention when needed.
