Oscar Jiang, who goes by the gaming alias “Yuki,” is a multi-talented individual who has made his mark in the worlds of modeling, acting, and gaming. At 27 years old, he currently competes as a professional Esports athlete for Alliance, playing in tournaments both in person and online as part of the Apex Legends Global Series.

Yuki’s journey into the world of gaming began at a young age when he first started playing Counter-Strike 1.6 at the age of eight or nine. However, his true passion at that time was drama, and he spent much of his time in school participating in theatre productions. After turning 18, Yuki went to Hong Kong to pursue a theatre course for a year.

While Yuki originally planned to return to the United Kingdom to study drama at university, fate had other plans in store for him. He stayed in Hong Kong for two years and, after working on a project for Airbnb Japan, was signed with an agency. This led to more modeling work, including commercials and lookbook shoots, as well as appearances on national television.

Yuki’s talent and drive have allowed him to excel in multiple fields, and he is no stranger to hard work and determination. His experience in the competitive Apex Legends scene has been marked by his tenacity and willingness to push himself to be the best he can be. After a summer of competing in online leagues for Aqualix, Yuki received an offer he couldn’t refuse: the opportunity to play for Alliance.

Since joining Alliance, Yuki has found himself in an environment that has allowed him to build team chemistry and synergy. He credits his time at boot camp with helping him and his teammates come together and work as a cohesive unit. This has been invaluable as Yuki continues to compete at the highest levels of Apex Legends.

Despite his success as a professional gamer, Yuki has not forgotten his roots in modeling and acting. He has modeled for high-end brands like Gucci and Louis Vuitton and even appeared in popular television series such as Heart Signal (Season 1) in China. Though it has been several years since he worked as an actor, his experiences in that field have undoubtedly helped shape who he is today.

In addition to his gaming and modeling pursuits, Yuki is also a student. He is currently studying Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Bayes Business School and is set to graduate in the summer of 2023. This combination of academic and professional pursuits demonstrates Yuki’s dedication to bettering himself in all aspects of his life.
