A visa is required for stays in New Zealand of up to 90 days for citizens of Argentina. The 2009 visa waiver program allows citizens of Argentina to visit New Zealand for up to ninety days on a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority without first obtaining a visa for New Zealand from Argentina. As of July 1, 2019, visitors from Argentina will need an eTA to enter New Zealand.

Obtaining a valid visa in Argentina is a need for any Argentine citizen considering a trip to New Zealand of less than three months’ duration. It is the responsibility of the traveller to ensure that their passport will be valid for at least three months after their planned date of departure from New Zealand. Australian nationals are the only people exempt from this rule; even Australian permanent residents need an Electronic Go Authorization to visit New Zealand.

Citizens of Brazil who also hold passports of other countries must apply using the same passport they plan to use for their trip. Applicants must have access to either a credit card, debit card, or PayPal account in order to submit payment to the New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA). The fee for a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) for Brazilian nationals consists of two parts: the eTA payment and the tourist levy. Applicants from Brazil must additionally provide a valid email address in order to get the NZeTA electronically. All information submitted to the New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority must be checked and double-checked by the traveller to confirm that it is accurate (NZeTA).
