IMO Cosmetic Dermatology Changes the Beauty Industry Landscape, Specializes on the Natural Look

This female-led Miami cosmetic dermatology practice provides non-surgical age-defying solutions with natural-looking, customized aesthetic results from its founder Leslie Rohaidy, PA-C AAOPM.

Over the years, the beauty industry has grown into a billion-dollar business that has generated millions of jobs. However, as the sector grew and became well-received by many, cosmetic dermatology providers with discerning taste noticed that they could do more than just provide outdated, male dominated, shocking cosmetic transformations.

Leslie Rohaidy, PA-C, and Fellow of the American Academy of Procedural Medicine is one of these providers who have been disappointed with the lack of transparency, honesty, and human touch in today’s aesthetics. She states, “Subtle is the new dramatic!” and to bring revolutionary anti-aging solutions to the market, she introduces IMO Cosmetic Dermatology. Short for In My Opinion, a modern concierge style medical spa offering age-defying beauty treatments for today’s discerning patients.

“It’s time for honest aesthetics that relates to you and the way you want to be treated, literally. This is long term relationship with an aesthetic medical expert you will grow to love and trust”.

In My Opinion, or IMO as they call it, separates itself from the usual cosmetic providers located in discount driven medical spas and chop shop botox clinics. They offer bespoke facial analysis and custom consultations, where careful evaluation of one’s anatomy and facial expression pattern are noted and recorded. This is followed by an expert explanation of what your short- and long-term areas of treatment focus should be regardless of whether you decide to proceed with a treatment or not. They are one of the only offices in the area dedicating over an hour to each new patient consultation.

IMO’s holistic treatment philosophy is to provide global treatments to enhance outcomes instead of just focusing on one part of the face. “Symmetry and subtlety is key” she says. IMO makes clinical skin recommendations safe for skin of all color. “Treating skin of color is important in Miami. South Floridian sun is aggressive and requires unique treatment approaches and product curation.” They pride themselves as “cosmetic nerds” and take the time to properly educate their new patients on various fitting beauty treatments and options. “The market is so fragmented and riddled with misconceptions. There is also so much bad work being done.”

Since their inception 2019, IMO Cosmetic Dermatology has quadrupled in size. “We’re growing so fast”. They have signed a deal with Brookfield Partners, a real estate conglomerate and operator of commercial retail to open a 3,000 square foot space Summer of 2022 in The Shoppes at the Village of Merrick Park in Coral Gables, FL. The space will feature a medical grade skincare boutique, eight private treatment rooms, and dedicated spaces for medical grade Hydrafacials and Laser Treatments.

With over ten years of formal medical education and training, a graduate of the Herbert Wertheim School of Medicine, Leslie Rohaidy, a licensed and certified PA-C, additionally holds a board-certification with the American Academy of Procedural Medicine (AAOPM) which she earned upon completion of a full-time, year and a half fellowship focused exclusively on cosmetic procedures. “The landscape is scary because anyone with a medical license can take a weekend course in Botox and start administering procedures. Everyone from dentists to emergency medicine physicians are doing it!”

Prior to these certifications, she was an international medical student with St. George’s School of Medicine and published work in symposium in Evolutionary Genomics while attending the University of Miami. “I’ve always loved science, and medicine, and have been fascinated by cellular aging,” she says.

Louis Frisina, an industry giant, and the creditor of bringing the Restylane brand of dermal fillers to US markets, described her as having the “aesthetic eye,” which is a mix of technical skills and artistry that make every patient’s experience unique and customized. He also added that she understands the beauty needs of today’s younger demographics while still being able to distinguish these from the needs of the more mature patients.

IMO offers anti-wrinkle and anti-pigment solutions like neurotoxins, chemical peels, hyaluronic acid dermal filler, micro-needling services, and laser treatments. They are set to provide membership packages to its existing patrons and new patients this Summer. To browse, book, or know more about IMO’s services, visit https://www.imoglow.com/.
