Near Half Million USD Sale Validates NFTPLUS as the solution for NFT Issuance, Sales and Management

January 5, 2022 – Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo – double jump.tokyo, Inc., an NFT technology solution provider, is pleased to announce that its NFTPLUS solution successfully supported the sale of Tezuka Productions’ digital art NFT “Astro Boy”, a one of a kind mosaic art NFT created with more than 6,000 tiles.  Each tile represents a single piece of Tezuka Osamu’s works or characters which when combined are integrated into one powerful picture consisting of a background and the “Astro Boy” character.  The winning bid was 120 ETH (about $480,000 USD).  The auction was held at NFT Marketplace OpenSea on December 18, 2021.

This was the second of two planned NFT sales of Tezuka art.  Previously, double jump.tokyo’s NFTPLUS solution supported the sale of Generative Art digital collectible NFTs.  These were 1000 randomly generated pieces of artwork based on a selection of the image materials used in the Mosaic Art NFT.  The sale of these digital collectibles sold out within one hour.

“The successful sale and auction of these collectible Art NFT’s demonstrate that double jump.tokyo’s technology and tools are the solution for facilitating NFT transactions seamlessly from issuance through the sale and continued management thereafter,” stated Hironobu Ueno, CEO of double jump.tokyo.  “The sale confirms demand from collectors and other individuals to own non-fungible tokens.  This is only the beginning as we continue to assist large-scale enterprises to incorporate NFT and blockchain technologies into their company strategy.”

“I am very pleased that the fragments of Osamu Tezuka have been recognized by the people of the world,” commented Yashihiro Shimizu, Director of Tezuka Productions. “It has been an honor to have double jump.tokyo cooperate with us on this venture.  Moreover,  Osamu Tezuka will be pleased that 10% of the net sales will be donated to UNICEF and another 10% will be used to help children around the world who are suffering as a result of the coronavirus and the pandemic’s economic and social effects.”

double jump.tokyo looks forward to working with Tezuka Productions on other upcoming Osamu Tezuka NFT collectible sales based on “Phoenix” and “Black Jack.” Sales of these NFT’s are being planned for sometime during the first two quarters of 2022.
