Forget about wasting money on imported souvenirs. How about having lovely keepsakes of the stones collected on several trips over the years? Sounds adorable, right? Well, Denver-based Close to your Heart has recently launched a campaign on Kickstarter that seeks to create beautiful custom jewelry made with stones collected by users. All the jewelry will be made in Denver.

“At Close to your Heart, we believe in celebrating the stones collected from your favorite places by turning them into a lovely Heartstone Necklace- memorable  jewelry keepsakes that you would love to pass on as a legacy to your children and grandchildren”, stated the dynamic lady behind ‘Close to your Heart’. 

The process works in 5 simple steps –

• The client has to collect stones while on a trip and make great memories of that place
• Then, s/he would have to ship the stone to Close to your Heart. The company can even arrange for a prepaid shipping box
• Upon receiving, Close to your Heart will deploy its proprietary in-house equipment to cut, shape, and polish the stone
• Then, the polished stones or “cabochons” will be mounted in a custom-engraved sterling silver  bezel and hung on a sterling silver chain, cut as per the desired length of the customer
• Once approved, the final product will be shipped to the customer

Regarding the engraved design on the charm, customers can provide their own design for the charm. Close to your Heart will be happy to provide suggestions and tips regarding designs and/or texts to be engraved on the Heartstone Necklace bezel or charm. Otherwise, customers can choose from a long list of designs offered by Close to your Heart. The designs offered by the company mostly feature U.S. flowers, trees, and major mountain peaks and State outlines.

Customers have the option to choose from long/short chains and round cable chains. Both chains are secured with a sterling silver lobster clasp. All the jewelry will be shipped and packed in a recycled (also recyclable) clamshell box, secured with cotton ribbon as well as a sturdy brass snap.
