Reservations needed at Hangzhou’s A-class scenic spots during holiday

Tourists to all A-class scenic spots in Hangzhou, capital city of East China’s Zhejiang, must make reservations in advance before their visits during the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, according to the Hangzhou culture and tourism development center.

Reservations for more than 50 scenic spots and cultural venues in Hangzhou can be made through the official WeChat account “visithangzhou”.

Tourists are advised to learn about the latest travel requirements related to their destinations ahead of time. They are also advised to wear masks, wash their hands frequently, as well as avoid gathering and traveling at peak hours.

Hangzhou is expected to receive about 2.01 million tourists, equivalent to 86 percent of the amount in the same period in 2019, during this year’s festival, according to statistics from the development center.

Tourists from Zhejiang will account for 65 percent of the total, followed by tourists from Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui, and Henan.

Air passenger transportation in Hangzhou is expected to resume to 72 percent of the amount in 2019, and 27 percent of the air passengers will come from Shenzhen, Chengdu, and Guangzhou.

West Lake will still be the most popular destination for tourists in Hangzhou and activities involving worshipping the moon will be held during the three-day holiday.

In addition, Hangzhou Zoo, Feilai Peak, Daming Mountain, Xixi National Wetland Park, and Changqiao Polar Ocean Park will also be the popular choices among tourists in the city.
